DIY SOS - The million pound build

Zip Wire Shop were recently contacted by the BBC's DIY SOS show asking if we would be willing to offer our assistance. Nick Knowles and the team carries out makeovers for families who have had a difficult time of it and are very deserving of the gift of a new home and garden. Having already been fans of the inspirational work that the show does we naturally jumped at the opportunity to help.

This was a special show in aid of Children In Need and the project was carried out for a Peterborough based charity called the Little Miracles group which until recently was running sessions for children with additional needs, disabilities and life limiting conditions at its centre in Werrington. With the help of the team at DIY SOS the charity can now relocate to The Spinney in Peterborough which was being used as a childrens centre until it was axed by Peterborough City Council earlier in the year.

Zip Wire Shop was asked to provide some of our products for Nicks's tea to install into the newmade over garden which we were happy to provide with our compliments. As the garden was to be used by both abled and disabled bodied children we quickly despatched one of our Full Support Seats specificaly designed for the disabled users which was used on one of the installed Swing Sets. We also donated a 50m Ultimate Viper Garden Zip Wire Kit but the team unfortunately ran out of time to install it so The Spinney now hopes to have this installed very soon.
